about U.S. Attorney Andy Luger’s announcement to bring indictments

against six medical providers

“The Minnesota Association of Justice applauds U.S. Attorney Andy Luger’s announcement to bring indictments against six medical providers for fraudulent claims and billing practices under Minnesota’s no fault auto insurance law. 

Luger’s actions show that Minnesota’s laws are working exactly as they should and singling out anyone who may break those laws. With these checks and balances, there is no need for responsible insurance companies to deny legitimate accident claims and medical treatments to well-deserving Minnesotans who pay their premiums. In fact, no company or organization should attempt to twist or leverage the successes of our legal system to eliminate hard-working Minnesotan’s access to appropriate medical care after paying for those very benefits through insurance premiums.

At the Minnesota Association of Justice, we are proud that our goals align with those of the state and US Attorney Luger. We have long supported the state's laws which are designed to prosecute those who cheat the system. As always, we believe that justice will prevail.”
