MAJ Statement on the Chauvin Verdicts

Today the world saw the importance and power of our jury system. We applaud our fellow citizens for doing the hard work of democracy in the courtroom and by delivering justice for George Floyd. The Minnesota Association for Justice supports the civil and criminal jury trial system and is proud of the work of our courts. We hope that today’s verdicts continue the community dialog about needed reforms of law enforcement practices and accountability. Tonight, we honor the memory of George Floyd and wish our community peace - tomorrow we get back to the mission of seeking justice.
