Karen Koehler is a partner with the Stritmatter Kessler Koehler Moore law firm. She worked for three years with Tom Chambers, her mentor in the practice of plaintiff law. For seven years Pat LePley was her law partner. Karen received the WSAJ Trial Lawyer of the Year award in 2005 and was its president 2007-2008. Her blog the Velvet Hammer has been voted to the ABAs list of top 100 law blawgs and it has also been voted the top litigation blog. She wrote two national treatises with Michael Freeman Litigating MIST cases and Litigating Major Automobile Injury and Death cases ATLA/Thomspon West. She created two DVDs Preparing for Deposition and Preparing for the Defense Medical Examination distributed by Trial Guides. She speaks frequently for AAJ and other trial lawyer programs around the country. Her daughters grew up playing office and attending WSTLA conventions.
