Membership communications, seminars, committees and legislative advocacy bring you into contact with the best and brightest trial minds in Minnesota. These formal and informal opportunities for learning benefit you and your clients. Membership services include:

Legislative Advocacy

Minnesota Association for Justice’s legislative services are the key to the existence of our profession and our ability to serve our clients. Minnesota Association for Justice has the only lobbyists committed to protecting the rights of all citizens and serving as the voice of consumers in the court and the legislature. The Minnesota Association for Justice political action committee (Trial-PAC) raises funds for political candidates who support your client’s concerns.

Information Bank

Minnesota Association for Justice's data bank includes trial and appellate briefs, medical and technical expert depositions, pleadings, jury instructions and educational articles and outlines. If the Information bank does not have the information you need, you can post a request to one of the MAJ List-Servers. We also provide an extensive Expert Witness Bank - please contact Derek Lamparty for details.

The Information Bank is available to Minnesota Association for Justice members only.

Case Evaluation Clinics

If you need advice on experts or trial strategies, Minnesota Association for Justice can set up a panel of three experienced trial lawyers to review your case and offer advice. For Greater Minnesota members, conference call case evaluations allow you to participate from your own office. For Minnesota Association for Justice members only.

Mock Trials/Focus Groups

If you wonder how a jury will react to your case, Minnesota Association for Justice's Mock Trial Program can provide insight. Attorneys test arguments, theories and witness credibility before a panel of six or 12 citizen jurors. In addition, mock trials provide clients with a realistic estimate of possible damages; and by talking with the jurors at the end of the program, you will discover your case's strengths and weaknesses. For Minnesota Association for Justice members only.

Amicus Curiae

Minnesota Association for Justice assists members by submitting briefs in support of issues before the Supreme Court. The organization will be involved in any case which presents an issue of statewide importance or one which is significant to other members.

Educational Programs

Minnesota Association for Justice's education programs offer the highest quality of legal education focusing on the issues that are most important to the development of your practice. Seminars are offered for all levels of experience in substantive areas and trial skills and frequent Brown Bags CLE programs are available for the lawyer unable to be away from the office for an entire day.
