The Minnesota Association for Justice elected Michael Bryant as the association's President at its Annual Convention in Alexandria, Minnesota.With a theme of "The Truth About Justice" Mr. Bryant pledged to show the facts about civil trials and improving the information available to jurors in Minnesota. The Minnesota Association for Justice is dedicated to the Constitution's guarantee of justice for all and promotes that mission in all of its work. As President Mr. Bryant will lead efforts to dismantle the myths Minnesotan's are being told about the impact of civil trials and law suits, as well as the truth about what information they have when they are serving as jurors. "We intend to explore options that will seek to expand, clarify and promote access to pertinent information so jurors can fully understand the civil cases before them," said Mr. Bryant "while also working to shine a light on the misinformation in the fear based campaigns about law suit abuse." The ‘Truth About Justice' message will not be limited to public policy, but will be utilized by the Minnesota Association for Justice in all of its programmatic work as well. "Because the ‘Truth About Justice' is not just an idea it is a right guaranteed to us as citizens of this great state and nation." Mr. Bryant said. Mr. Bryant is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and the William Mitchell College of Law. Mr. Bryant is a managing partner of the law firm of Bradshaw & Bryant PLLC in Waite Park, where his practice areas include personal injury and criminal defense. Mr. Bryant was the 1999/2000 MTLA Member of the Year, the 2000 President of the Minnesota Consumer Alliance and he received the MTLA Excellence Award for 2000/2001. He has been named a Minnesota Super Lawyer every year since 2000. As a long standing member of the Minnesota Association for Justice, Mr. Bryant has served as a member of the Board of Governors and Executive committee; he is the current Co-Chair of the Legislative and Amicus Committees and is also serving on the Publications, No-Fault, Convention Planning and Trial PAC Committees. He is a Civil Trial Specialist certified by the NBTA & MSBA and will serve as President of the Minnesota Association for Justice for one year. |
