This program will give a detailed analysis of the recent US Supreme court decisions of  Twombley and Iqbal and how they affect pleadings standards.  The  program will address what is left of the Rule 8 "short and plain" standard.  In addition, the program will address recent federal cases from the District  of Minnesota which have applied  Twombley and Iqbal.  The program will also address to what extent, if any, these stricter standards have been applied in Minnesota state courts.

Richard A. Lockridge, partner, heads the firm's securities and class action practices. He is a 1974 honors graduate of the University of Iowa Law School and a former Minnesota Assistant Attorney General. He also was a law clerk to the Honorable Myron H.
